Bloomsburg Falls to Kutztown in Women's Basketball

KUTZTOWN- The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team fell to Kutztown 53-47 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match up on Saturday afternoon.
Kutztown looked to be in control early on when they took a 17-9 lead on a three pointer by Rachel Wisemiller with 9:05 remaining in the half. However the Huskies rallied to cut the deficit to 26-25 at halftime. Kirby Johnson (Woodstown/ Woodstown) connected on two three pointers to spark the Huskies rally.
The Huskies would take an 34-31 lead early in the second half but Kutztown would respond with a 15-2 run over the next 11 minutes to make the score 46-36 with 5:08 remaining. The Huskies would cut the lead to six but could get no closer.
Johnson and Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/ Schuylkill Haven) led the Huskies with 15 points each. Kegerreis also added 10 rebounds to pick up her seventh double-double of the season.
The Huskies fall to 5-12, 1-2 in the PSAC East. They will host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
